Cristina Vollmer Burelli, a Venezuelan-American social entrepreneur, is the founder and executive director of V5Initiative, a non-profit that leads and supports broad initiatives that promote better and more informed policy making and governance at the national and international level. V5 Initiative promotes and empowers the involvement of individuals, NGO’s and the private sector in matters of public policy through the dissemination of information that will raise awareness and invite action.

Robert Leonard is best known for his work in forensic linguistics. Before graduating Columbia University he and his brother were in the band Sha Na Na and Rob the lead singer of "Teen Angel" and opened for Jimi Hendrix on stage at Woodstock.

Previously he has been a faculty member of SDA Bocconi School of Management and Bocconi University since 1990, Visiting Scholar (1996) and Visiting Professor (1998) at Stern School of Business (New York University) and Visiting Professor, Fudan University School of Management (2008-2010).
Roberto has a strong international exposure having worked in Russia, Bulgaria, Argentina, USA and China. Since the beginning of his career he worked also as management consultant for both domestic and international companies serving in several board positions. Explorer-in-Residence at the National Geographic Society. Named by the NGS as one of the
Explorers for the Millennium, he has been described as “a rare combination of scientist, scholar,
poet and passionate defender of all of life’s diversity.”
An ethnographer, writer, photographer and filmmaker, Davis holds degrees in anthropology and
biology and received his Ph.D. in ethnobotany, all from Harvard University. Mostly through the
Harvard Botanical Museum, he spent over three years in the Amazon and Andes as a plant
explorer, living among fifteen indigenous groups in eight Latin American nations while making
some 6000 botanical collections. His work later took him to Haiti to investigate folk preparations
implicated in the creation of zombies, an assignment that led to his writing The Serpent and the
Rainbow (1986), an international best seller later released by Universal as a motion picture. In
recent years his work has taken him to East Africa, Borneo, Nepal, Peru, Polynesia, Tibet, Mali,
Benin, Togo, New Guinea, Australia, Colombia, Vanuatu, Mongolia and the high Arctic of
Nunuvut and Greenland.
A professional speaker for 30 years, Davis has lectured at over 200 universities and 250
corporations and professional associations. In 2009 he delivered the CBC Massey Lectures. He
has spoken from the main stage at TED five times, and his three posted talks have been viewed
by 7 million. His books have appeared in 22 languages and sold approximately one million
copies.


John Henry Clippinger is currently a research scientist at the MIT Media Lab’s Human Dynamics Group, where he is a co-principal investor on a research program working to develop legal and software methods for protecting and sharing personal information for mobile services applications in health, education, and finance. He is also co-founder and executive director of ID3 , a non profit organization formed to develop and field-test legal and software trust frameworks for data-driven services, infrastructures and enterprises. Previously, Dr. Clippinger was founder and Co-director of The Law Lab at Harvard University, which was founded to undertake multidisciplinary research to explore new forms of digital law and institution building to facilitate cooperation and entrepreneurial innovation. Clippinger is the author of A Crowd of One: The Future of Individual Identity in addition to several recent articles and chapters on topics related to identity, trust frameworks and governance. He is a member of the eG8 Forum and the Global Leadership Telco Council and the Risk Analysis Network for the World Economic Forum.

Nathan has over 40 years of experience in the fields of international development and
education. He is one of the founders of Oxfam America supporting emerging community devel-
opment leadership in low-income countries and has been a pioneer in socially positive
investment. Nathan started the youth leadership organization Earth Train Foundation in 1991
and, in 2001, led the establishment of its international base in Panama where he co-founded
the Mamoní Valley Preserve and Fundación Earth Train, now Fundación Geoversity. Together
with a diversity of leaders in business, science and the arts, he directed the launch of the
Geoversity ecosystem with its Geoversity School for Biocultural Leadership and the recently
established Borrego Institute for Living Design, founded and directed by Dr Tamsin Woolley-
Barker. He was a contributing author of Disaster and Development (Fred Cuny) published in
1989 by Oxford University Press and of Change Not Charity - Essays on Oxfam America’s First 40
Years, published in 2010.
